Does the last few days remind you of last year? I remember the horror of flooded houses and swollen rivers. My allotment was under half a metre of water and I had to throw away most of my salad and tomato crops. Fortunately it is not too bad this year. The tomatoes are swelling nicely but need some sun to ripen.
The flower borders in the garden look a little sad, all the rain has produced lots of growth but many of the flowers have been damaged by the heavy rain last week. Have bought some dahlias and lilies to fill in the gaps.

Roses in all their glory
The roses are looking at their best at the moment, especially those on my allotment where they get plenty of sun. The rain over the last 24 hours has really helped to keep them looking good. Don't forget to feed your roses regularly throughout the summer and dead head regularly to keep those blooms coming.
